LaMont Digital in collaboration with The California Endowment commissioned a piece about how integral immigration is to the AAPI community.

Full creative direction with the brief “A piece that explores the experiences of AAPI immigrants within the broader immigrant justice movement, especially in light of the recent ICE raids that have deeply impacted our communities.”

I knew from the beginning that I wanted to highlight the connectedness of the community by showcasing a range of people coming together (as per usual) over shared food. As far back as it may go, immigration is a part of a lot of AAPI stories in the US.
